About Cancer Genomics Shared Resource

Cancer Genomics Shared Resource (CGSR) is a high-throughput genomics laboratory focused on the translation of genetic and molecular tests for disease research. This includes molecular characterization, susceptibility genetic association studies, analysis, validation, and diagnostic development. The CGSR is non-profit and supports Woodruff Health Science Center (WHSC) investigators as well as local, national, and international invesigators. The CGSR is located in 3,600 sq ft. of laboratory space in Emory Clinic B and is a Clinical Laboratory Improvements Act (CLIA) certified laboratory (CLIA # 11D1086150).

The CGSR is the integration of the Center for Medical Genomics (CMG), Yerkes Microarray Core (YMC), Emory Neuroscience NINDS Core Facilities (ENNCF), and the Winship Cancer Institute Microarray Core (WCIMC) into one lab with complementary capabilities, goals, and services. By integrating into one service center we have leveraged knowledge and resources to provide genomic products for investigators at Emory University, Emory Healthcare, and the entire health care and research communities.
